You are welcomed to Imo State Congress of America, INC. Website. The underlisted are our main objectives:
- To promote and foster love, peace, unity, cooperation, understanding, justice and progress among all Imo people in the United States, in Nigeria or elsewhere in the world, and to do the same in regard to the promotion, pursuit, practice of transparency, accountability, and good governance in public affairs.
- To serve as a common umbrella and a united front for unity, solidarity, social interaction, networking, progress, and the healthy promotion of the Imo State cum Igbo cultural heritage, and to provide medium for Igbo identity and tradition among ourselves, and with all other associations, organizations, and entities of Imo State people in America and elsewhere.
- To encourage and support justice, transparent democratic culture and practices, and non-corrupt governance at every level of government in Imo State to ensure that the children and people are educated and encouraged to take their rightful places in Nigerian society and the World.
- To cooperate and work with other well-meaning organizations in U.S.A, and elsewhere in providing relief for the poor and the underprivileged with a view to alleviating poverty, ignorance, disease and other ills in Imo State in particular and Nigeria in general.
- To research, study and analyze objectively all major intellectual, political, economic and social issues of public interest for Imo State, and to present, publish, and disseminate a constructive non-partisan analysis of same for the benefit of Imo people.
- To actively seek, promote and encourage international cooperation, investments, and collaborations in the areas of economic, technological, educational, healthcare and social development for Imo State in particular and Nigeria in general.
- To serve as a communication link between Imo citizens in the Diaspora, Imo indigenes, and Imo State Government.
- To be in the vanguard for social justice and actively protest against human rights abuses and ensure equal access to justice under the United States, Nigerian and International Human Rights law, for Imo indigenes wherever they may be.
